This coin features white pearl enamel and bright colors which have proved to be very popular. It also seems that putting rainbow colors on a coin is appreciated by coin collectors. The idea for this color scheme comes from the rainbow in the Noah story and the edition name comes from a song by Ivan Doroschuk of the band Men Without Hats call “Underneath The Rainbow”.

Underneath The Rainbow by Ivan Doroschuk

Oh, if I had a wish I’d fall in love
With the planet and the stars above
Isn’t that what life is all about?
When you’re underneath the rainbow

Oh, oh, if I had a wish I’d fall in love
With the planet and the stars above
Aren’t angels only clouds and doves?
When you’re underneath the rainbow

And some were mystified
Some were always dancing
All I realized is someone really cared
Underneath the rainbow

Some were mystified
But some were always dancing
All I realized that someone really cared

All, though deep inside
Hold life as so romantic
I learned to read and write
Smell the summer in the air

And, oh, if I had a wish I’d fill it full of love
I’m receiving from no strangers up above
And when the leaves are falling
I just close my eyes and lift my head

And, oh, if I had a wish I’d fall in love
With the planet and the stars above
Isn’t that what life is all about?
When you’re underneath the rainbow

This coin is 2.5 inches in diameter (64 mm), which is huge and will fill your palm unlike any other geocoin. This edition features white and yellow pearl enamel along with a rainbow palette of transparent colors. It has a 24 karat gold finish.

The edition name comes from Genesis 9:13, “I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.” The 12 circles around the edge, on the tree side, represent the passage of time, such as the 12 hours on a clock or the twelve months in a year. The flowers all come from the holy land and are mentioned in the bible. They are, starting at the top and moving clockwise:

Rose of Sharon

Crocus

Crown Daisy

Garlic

Almond

Black Mustard

Yellow Broom

Coriander

Flax

Fennel

Star of Bethlehem
Rock Rose
